Sello S (S Seal)
The S Seal is an advanced distinction granted by SERNATUR to tourism businesses with a commercial approach genuinely aligned with sustainability.
We drive concrete actions for the conservation of Patagonia, support for local communities, and the promotion of sustainable tourism.
Since 2019, Chile Nativo has been committed to the conservation of nature in Torres del Paine, one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world. With a contribution of USD $26,851 to the Torres del Paine Legacy Fund, we have supported key projects that protect the biodiversity and ecosystem of this iconic National Park.
This is just the beginning. Protecting Patagonia requires continuous effort, and at Chile Nativo, we are determined to keep supporting initiatives that ensure the conservation of this invaluable natural heritage.
We work hand in hand with local communities, especially with the residents of Puerto Natales, the gateway to Torres del Paine. From our base in this beautiful city, we collaborate on local economic development and help strengthen the cultural identity of the region.
Joint Work with Local Communities:
Through our collaboration network, we work with:
At Chile Nativo, we are deeply committed to the development and well-being of the local communities that make Patagonia such a unique place. In particular, we are proud to actively collaborate with the Kawésqar people, contributing to the preservation of their culture and traditions. Through this partnership, we not only support the community but also promote responsible tourism.
Through this joint effort, we aim to strengthen the cultural identity of the Kawésqar people and ensure the preservation of their traditions and heritage, while fostering a fair and sustainable model of economic development. We are truly honored to be allies of this community, and we are committed to continuing our close collaboration to preserve both their cultural and natural legacy.
As part of our commitment to the environment, we built Riverside Camp—a one-of-a-kind project in Chile that uses 29 tons of recycled plastic transformed into eco-friendly wood. This innovative glamping site is the first of its kind in the country, setting a new benchmark for responsible construction and reducing environmental impact.
This project is not only designed to offer a unique and sustainable experience for our guests, but also to serve as a powerful example that it is possible to build responsibly without compromising the natural surroundings.
At Chile Nativo, we’re passionate about offering unique and sustainable travel experiences that allow travelers to explore beyond the usual highlights. That’s why we created the “Estancias & E-Bikes” program—an innovative experience that won the “Most Innovative” award from SERNATUR and was a finalist in the FEDETUR Awards (Federation of Tourism Companies of Chile) in the Tourism Offer category. This recognition highlights our commitment to developing authentic and responsible experiences in Patagonia.
This program isn’t just a new way to explore the region—it’s a whole new approach to how travelers engage with Patagonia. By stepping off the beaten path, visitors get the chance to discover small towns, family-run estancias, and hidden landscapes that reflect the true soul of Patagonia.
At Chile Nativo, we believe that sports are a powerful tool for personal and community development. That’s why, in addition to our commitment to the environment and local communities, we actively support athletes from the region by sponsoring both emerging and established talents.
A clear example of this commitment is our support for Felipe Carrión, who recently took first place in the Ultra Paine 80K race. Through this sponsorship, we aim to foster local talent and provide athletes from Patagonia with the resources they need to continue growing in their disciplines.
We support athletes like Felipe not only for their achievements, but because they embody the spirit of the region and inspire others to follow in their footsteps. By backing these talented individuals, we encourage young people in the region to pursue their goals and proudly carry the name of Patagonia with them every step of the way.
Chile Nativo, as part of its commitment to sustainability and environmental care, has launched a collaboration with the company Corión Compost to implement an organic waste collection program. Through this initiative, between 3 to 4 kilograms of organic waste are collected from the company on a regular basis to be properly composted.
This effort contributes to reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills while promoting the production of natural fertilizer. Not only does this action help lower Chile Nativo’s environmental footprint, but it also supports the circular economy—where waste is transformed into valuable resources.
At Riverside Camp, located beside the stunning Serrano River, we offer our guests an unmatched comfort experience, paired with exquisite local cuisine that reflects the richness of Patagonia. And we do it all without generating waste.
Nearly 100% of the organic waste produced at the camp is processed and repurposed for other uses, ensuring that nothing goes to waste.
Our goal is to minimize our environmental impact. At Riverside Camp, every piece of organic waste is carefully sorted and efficiently reused. Whether it’s turned into compost, natural fertilizers, or used as raw material for other processes, nothing goes to waste.
We take pride in moving toward our “zero waste” goal, actively contributing to the preservation of our natural surroundings and proving that it’s possible to live both comfortably and responsibly.
