Where it’s located
Argentine Patagonia is located in the southern part of the country, highlighting destinations such as El Calafate, on the shores of Lake Argentino, and El Chaltén, famous for its trekking routes leading to Cerro Fitz Roy and Laguna de los Tres. Both are located in the Santa Cruz province, within the Los Glaciares National Park.

This 9-day program is designed for those seeking an authentic and challenging experience in Patagonia. It involves walking several hours a day on long trails through valleys, lakes, and glaciers.
Although the journey demands physical effort and endurance, it is carefully planned so you can progress at a safe pace with all the necessary support. This expedition offers an intense, yet deeply rewarding and unforgettable experience.
Day 1 – Welcome to El Chaltén!
Today you will arrive at the El Calafate bus station, where you’ll catch the bus to El Chaltén, a charming village located at the foot of the majestic Cerro Fitz Roy and surrounded by the stunning Los Glaciares National Park.
Along the way, you’ll pass open pampas, quiet roads, and the northern shore of Lake Viedma, enjoying unique landscapes that hint at the grandeur of Patagonia. Upon arrival in El Chaltén, a private transfer will take you directly from the terminal to your hotel. You will stay at Hostería Senderos, where you can check in, relax, and start preparing for the unforgettable experience awaiting you in the coming days.

Day 2 - Ascent to Laguna de los Tres
After a night in El Chaltén, you’ll start the day with a shared transfer from your hotel to the Puente del Río Eléctrico, where the hike begins. Accompanied by your private guide, you’ll follow one of Patagonia’s most iconic trails, with privileged views of the majestic Cerro Fitz Roy and glaciers such as Marconi and Eléctrico.
The route winds through lenga forests and natural viewpoints revealing peaks like Saint Exupéry and Poincenot. Passing by Poincenot and Río Blanco campsites, you’ll make the final ascent to Laguna de los Tres, where one of the most iconic views of Fitz Roy awaits: its granite spires reflected in the turquoise waters of the lagoon. After a well-deserved rest and a box lunch on site, you’ll return to El Chaltén.

Day 3 - Hike to Laguna Torre
In the morning, you’ll walk to the start of the trek to Laguna Torre, accompanied by your guide. Along the hike, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of Cerro Torre and Solo, as well as hanging glaciers and crystal-clear rivers that cross the valley.
Midway through the trek, you’ll have a box lunch before continuing to explore the region’s unique landscapes. After completing the trek, you’ll return to El Chaltén and then take a transfer to El Calafate.

Day 4 - Exploring the imposing Perito Moreno Glacier
In the morning, your private transfer will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier, located on the southern arm of Lake Argentino.
Your adventure begins with a scenic navigation to Bahía Toro, where you’ll disembark for a guided walk through the Patagonian Andean forest leading to an impressive waterfall. Along the trail, you’ll enjoy privileged views of the hanging glaciers of Cerro Mayo and Cerro Negro.
The experience continues with a gentle hike toward Cerro Negro, following a river until reaching the base of the Black Glacier, a striking hanging glacier framed by natural waterfalls. After taking in the scenery, you’ll return to the boat for a relaxing onboard lunch while sailing along the Canal de los Témpanos.
The journey culminates as you approach the iconic Perito Moreno Glacier, navigating slowly along its magnificent northern wall. You will then disembark at Puerto Perito Moreno, where you’ll have free time to explore the walkways and admire the glacier from various viewpoints. The adventure concludes with your return to Punta Bandera Port, before heading back to El Calafate.

Day 5 - Welcome to Chilean Patagonia
After breakfast, a private transfer will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the El Calafate bus station, where we’ll say goodbye to this first stage of the journey.
Next, you’ll take the bus to Puerto Natales, where a private transfer will take you from the terminal to your hotel. In the evening, you’ll enjoy dinner and a briefing with your guide, getting ready for the next stage of your Patagonian adventure.

Day 6 - Into the French Valley
Our day begins at 6:00 AM in Puerto Natales, where your guide and private transport will pick you up at your accommodation.
Upon entering the National Park, we will cross Lake Pehoé by catamaran and reach the starting point for today’s roundtrip hike. Our destination will be the Francés Valley, where we’ll be greeted by a massive glacial moraine. You’ll climb over rocks and see the hanging glacier at the top of the valley for the first time.
From this point, we will ascend for an hour through a dreamlike Japanese garden landscape before reaching the viewpoint of the Francés Valley, Le Plateau.
Here, we will have some time to enjoy lunch at the viewpoint, surrounded by these imposing peaks and open skies. The return to our accommodation, where a welcome dinner awaits us, will be along the same path.

Day 7 - Navigation toward Grey Glacier & hike to Condor Lookout
After a hearty breakfast, our private transfer will take us to the Grey sector, where we’ll walk through a beech forest inhabited by woodpeckers until reaching the Grey Lake beach. After a 30-minute walk, we’ll embark on a three-hour navigation among blue-toned icebergs toward the immense face of the Grey Glacier, where we’ll pause to admire its striking textures, lines, and colors.
On the return journey, we’ll have the chance to see the famous “ice mushrooms” sculpted by the wind atop the towering peaks of Paine Grande. Once back on land, we’ll enjoy a picnic-style lunch, followed by a short transfer and a hike to the Condor Viewpoint.
This trail is steep and takes about one hour to reach the top, from where you’ll enjoy one of the most spectacular panoramic views of the Paine Massif and Lake Pehoé, with great chances to spot the majestic Andean condor soaring above.

Day 8 - Round-Trip hike to the Base of the Towers
This final day is the most challenging of the tour. It demands stamina and determination, but offers unforgettable rewards for those who take on the climb.
We’ll begin the hike by entering the Ascencio Valley, gradually ascending until we reach the Windy Pass. This section is as beautiful as it is exposed, with strong gusts of wind. It’s essential to follow your guides’ instructions to cross this area safely.
Just a few meters ahead, we’ll reach Refugio Chileno. This is the last point along the route with bathrooms, food for sale, and internet access. Make sure to bring cash if you plan to purchase anything.
From there, we’ll continue into a lenga forest, crossing small streams until we arrive at a panoramic viewpoint that reveals the next and most demanding stretch of the day. The trail then climbs steeply up a massive terminal moraine, where we’ll be rewarded with the breathtaking view of the iconic Towers.
