AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE!

Camilo is a legend. Chile Nativo has extensive experience and knowledge. I highly recommend booking directly through them. We were a group of 8 people who did the 7-day trek, and everything was fantastic. Thanks to Camilo, Tomás, and all our porters!

We really enjoyed our trip. The fact that there were very few visitors in the park made the experience even more special. The tents provided by Chile Nativo were of great quality, which we truly appreciated, especially on the nights when the wind was strong. Our porters always made sure everything was set up upon our arrival and packed up after we left.

We really enjoyed their company. Much respect to them for the work they did! Camilo was, without a doubt, the best guide we have hiked with in recent years. We feel privileged to have had the opportunity to trek through Torres del Paine with him. Besides being an incredible guide, he is a great person in every way. He genuinely cares about his team, the guests, and the porters alike, and even takes the time to help people on the trail when they need assistance.

His love for Torres del Paine, the mountains, and nature, in general, is very evident and adds an extra dimension to the trek. It means that he has extensive knowledge on a wide range of topics, not because he has to study them as a guide, but because he is genuinely interested in them and passionate about talking about them.

Camilo has friends everywhere and seems to know everyone. After spending a few days with him, it’s obvious that he is a trustworthy and remarkable person—and on top of that, he did an amazing job as a cook!

I would also like to thank Johana and Camilo for noticing that Saskia would be celebrating her birthday during the trip and for making sure to prepare a surprise to make the day even more special.

If we ever have the chance to return to Puerto Natales in the future, it would be to do another trek with Camilo.

We had a fantastic time, and Chile Nativo was very patient and helpful in assisting us with getting back home when the borders started closing.

It’s clear that he has extensive knowledge and experience when it comes to Patagonia. He was patient and made me feel comfortable and safe on the trail, which meant a lot since I’m not as fast as usual at five months pregnant.

He shared quick and fun anecdotes about the surrounding areas—pointing out mountain peaks, identifying birds and trees, and explaining the history of the region—which we absolutely loved. He was attentive and proactive about any discomfort we had (seven days of hiking without intense training led to some aches and pains), and he had packed plenty of first-aid supplies that helped.

He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable at camp, preparing snacks before dinner and ensuring we knew where and when we needed to be. He was truly a “rock star” guide!
