Itinerary
Day 1
Transfer to Estancia Lazo – Hike to Weber Bridge via Laguna Verde Trail
2 Hour Private Transfer
5 Hour Hike/13 KM
30 Minute Private Transfer
Night at Chile Nativo Riverside Camp, Single/Double Deluxe Tent (BL-D)
Our journey begins from Puerto Natales as we travel 2 hours to Estancia Lazo, a 13,000 hectare cattle ranch founded over a century ago and still operating today beneath striking views of the Paine Massif on the shores of Laguna Verde. From here we’ll hike into Torres del Paine National Park along a generally flat trail through peaceful stretches of native beech and coihue forests teeming with wildlife. As you walk, watch for condors and caranchos circling the skies; guanacos grazing on the hills; and woodpeckers, owls, and lesser-known species such as the cachaña (Austral parakeet), peeking out from the leafy trees. We’ll reach Honda Lagoon and continue on to the Toro Lake lookout (559 m), where 360 degree views of mountains, rivers, lakes and glaciers await. Take a moment to identify the Grey, Serrano and Paine Rivers, Serrano Valley, Mount Balmaceda and the Geike and Tyndall Glaciers. After our short descent to the Weber Bridge, our private transfer awaits to take us to our campsite located on the shores of the Serrano River where we are greeted with a freshly prepared welcome dinner and stunning views of the Paine Massif.
Day 2
Round Trip Hike of the Pingo Valley - Glacier Grey Boat Navigation
3 Hour Hike/10 KM
3 Hour Round-Trip Boat Navigation
30 Minute Private Transfer
Night at Chile Nativo Riverside Camp, Single/Double Deluxe Tent (B-BL-D)
Following a plentiful and freshly made breakfast, our private transfer takes us along a 30 minute drive to the trailhead of our day´s trek of the Pingo Valley. This 3-hour hike in the valley takes us to a breathtaking viewpoint at “Cascada los Salmones”, a waterfall where salmon are sometimes seen. Be alert as we return - you may see the elusive huemul (Andean deer) hiding nearby! After a picnic lunch on the shores of the Pingo River we’ll make our way through a woodpecker-inhabited beech forest to our boat’s departure point. The 3 hour-long boat trip takes us around blue-hued icebergs to the immense face of the Grey Glacier, where we’ll stay for a while to admire its textures, lines and colors. If we’re lucky, we’ll witness a glacial calving, where chunks of ice break off and plummet spectacularly into the freezing waters. On your return journey you’ll see the wind-sculpted “ice mushrooms” atop the massive peaks of Paine Grande. Later, we’ll drive to the Serrano River area where a gourmet meal and good night’s rest await us at our riverside camp.
Day 3
Hike La Feria - Cliffs of Cornisas & Roundtrip Hike of Los Cuernos Lookout
4 Hours Hiking/5 KM
4 Hours Hiking/5 KM
Night at Tiny House Torres Del Paine (B-BL-D)
After breakfast at our Riverside Camp, our third day brings us 3 distinctive places of interests to discover. Our transfer takes us along the Paine River to a lesser known trailhead, Paso La Feria, where we enjoy a gentle hike taking us to a path which leads us to the edge of the cliffs of Cornisas. Rewarded with a mesmerizing 360 ° view - here we contemplate the pampas, rivers and winding valleys of the national park around us. Depending on the day´s climate conditions, we can see condors flying over us, searching for possible prey, teaching their young, or resting on the edge of the cliffs. After a steep but short descent to our private vehicle, we are transferred a short distance to the impressively stunning Salto Grande where we begin our quiet walk along a path of panoramic sights. After about an hour, we reach our incredible view of Los Cuernos del Paine (The Horns of Paine). This is a spectacular alternative trek that offers one of a kind views of Los Cuernos (the horns) without having to walk long distances on difficult trails! After capturing iconic photos, we walk along the same path to our private transfer which will take us past Lago Nordenskjöld en route to our unique accommodations with jaw dropping views of Mount Almirante Nieto and the Three Towers.
Day 4
Round Trip Summit Hike of Cerro Paine - Three Towers Lookout
8-10 Hour Hike/16 KM
Night at Tiny House Torres Del Paine (B-BL-D)
Waking up to the impressive sunrise views will give us energy for today´s trek! We indulge in an energy-packed breakfast before taking our 20 minute transfer to the Las Torres trailhead. Today´s hike will offer one of the most incredible viewpoints of the National Park as we hike to the summit of Cerro Paine. We begin winding through the forest of the Ascencio Valley, following the same path as one of Patagonia´s first and most famous explorers, Alberto Agostini’s. We will continue to the top where we are blessed with truly mesmerizing views: the three towers poised in the west, and views of the Paine River Valley, Laguna Azul, and the Nordenskjöld & Sarmiento Lakes. A picture perfect panorama that seems too good to be true! Taking in the granite peaks, glaciers, lakes, forest and pampas - you will feel the full Patagonia essence of your adventure. We will take our time to return along the same path where our private transfer will take us back to our accommodation for the evening.
Day 5
Photo Safari to Laguna Azul, Return to Puerto Natales
1 Hour Private Transfer
1 Minute Walk/2 KM
2 Hour Private Transfer (B-BL)
Our last day´s journey will take us from our accommodation along the winding roads past Estancia Laguna Amarga where we will surely encounter guanacos grazing with a magnificent backdrop and ñandues scattered across the pampas. We will make our way slowly, taking the time in the comfort of our private transfer stopping to capture the Cascada Paine before continuing on to our destination of Laguna Azul. This special place offers a relaxing walk along the wetlands and beach of it´s blue colored lagoon where we will see a number of different water fowl and bird species who inhabit this area. We will be treated by exceptional views of the iconic towers in the distant, the changing Patagonia sky, and surrounding mountain peaks that make this area picturesque. After a picnic lunch and our final photos, we make our way back to Puerto Natales where our journey ends.
