We will begin hiking the Sierra Nevada trail, which is equipped with 3 viewpoints. Later, we will walk back to the end of the trail and visit Playa Linda.

We will drive for about two and a half hours to the city of Pucón. This town, located on the shores of a lake, is flanked by a steaming active volcano and a large glacial lake, both called Villarrica. We will check into your hotel, and after that, you will have the afternoon free.

Day 3 - Bike ride along the scenic route of lakes and volcanoes: 'The Seven Lakes Circuit’

This day will begin with a safety briefing before we start our bike ride. However, it is important to mention that this is a well-supported ride, with a “support van” following the group to provide assistance at all times.

Today, we will be riding along one of the most scenic routes in Chile: the Seven Lakes Circuit. We will cycle along the shores of three beautiful lakes—Villarrica, Calafquén, and Panguipulli—and cover three-quarters of the route around Lake Villarrica.

Our first stop is in Villarrica (km 26.6), a small town by Lake Villarrica. Here, we can grab some snacks and refill our water bottles. We will take a short bus ride to avoid a busier stretch of road and then resume cycling.

As we ride this scenic route, we will stop for lunch at a very special place called Foye Mapu (km 51.4). After lunch, we will cycle 18.4 km to reach the town of Panguipulli. From there, we’ll take a brief tour to the beach at Lake Panguipulli. Then, we’ll pedal a few more blocks to our next hotel.

Today, we will travel 196 km by van to the town of Puerto Octay, where we will begin our bike ride through picturesque little villages. The route consists of gentle hills with long flat stretches, culminating at the shores of Lake Todos Los Santos, where we will be greeted by a unique landscape with the perfect cone of Mount Osorno.

The northeastern stretch of the Llanquihue Lake Route is one of the most beautiful parts of the journey. The entire route is fully paved, hugging the lake and passing through Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park.

We will conclude our ride upon reaching Todos Los Santos in Petrohué, a turquoise lake located in Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park.

We will practice several paddling techniques before tackling the first rapid, “Ciao Seco.” From here, it’s 13 km of continuous fun, with class III and IV rapids like “La Ese,” “Los Pollos,” “Queso Suizo,” and “El Nadador,” among others. Our small rafts ensure plenty of excitement with numerous waves to navigate. We will make stops at various spots to disembark from the raft, climb the cliffs along the shore, and dive into the crystal-clear waters.

After 2 hours on the river, we reach the landing point and return for a well-deserved lunch. You will have the afternoon free to explore the charming town of Puerto Varas.
