Do you know what is the most famous circuit of Torres del Paine? - Chile Nativo

Do you know what is the most famous circuit of Torres del Paine?

Have you heard about the W Trek, the most famous circuit in Torres del Paine?

We invite you to explore the 5 adventure options we have to experience it. The W Trek is a trail of about 70 kilometers that passes through the most iconic landscapes of Torres del Paine National Park. It includes the three most famous valleys that form a W on the map.

On the eastern trail, you’ll reach the legendary Base of the Towers viewpoint, where the granite towers welcome you to the summit with the park’s most iconic postcard view. In the heart of the circuit, as you venture into the French Valley, one of the most stunning valleys, take a moment to enjoy the breathtaking view of the avalanche while savoring your box lunch. Finally, on the western trail, you’ll visit the legendary Grey Glacier, one of the points where the immense southern ice fields end.

At Chile Nativo, we have 5 treks to explore the W Circuit.

Remember! The more people book the tour, the lower the price. It can drop by nearly $800 USD per person!

Tell a friend and experience it together!

1) Classic W

This 5-day tour guided by experienced professionals connects a selection of the 3 most prominent valleys in the National Park: the Base of the Towers viewpoint, the French Valley, and a hike / boat trip on Grey Lake to get a close view of the immense Grey Glacier ice wall. It includes accommodations in park refuges or campsites. The tour price starts at $2395 USD per person.

There is also the option to add an ice hiking excursion or kayak trip on the lake.

2) Independent W

With a duration of 5 days, this adventure is ideal for independent hikers who want to experience the W Trail without guides, set dates, or prior planning. We manage all accommodations in refuges or campsites and provide a secure place to store your luggage. Starting at $1695 USD per person, you won’t have to worry about anything except getting to the park; there are daily buses from Puerto Natales. You can also add an optional ice hiking or kayaking excursion on Grey Lake.

3) Fast track W

A short and precise 3-day experience in Torres del Paine visiting the most notable places. Explore the French Valley, hike to the granite towers, and navigate Grey Lake to get a close view of the glacier, while recharging each night in a private, glamping tent at our Riverside Camp on the Serrano River. You can book this Trip from $1795 USD per person.

4) Winter W

Winter arrives in Patagonia, bringing colder temperatures and fewer visitors to the trails of Torres del Paine National Park. However, for experienced hikers seeking a unique experience, this is the perfect time for an unforgettable adventure. This 5-day guided tour will take you through the park’s main trails, staying in refuges and cabins, while you enjoy the tranquility of the mountains and the increased visibility of wildlife during this time of year. Waking up in nature and feeling a connection with the mountains like never before are just some of the experiences awaiting you on this tour. Join this journey for $2295 USD per person.

5) W Plus

During this 5-day guided tour, you’ll visit the park’s main attractions while exploring some of its lesser-known trails, including  Lago Toro with 360° views of the Torres del Paine, Laguna Azul, and Valle Pingo, while resting at our exclusive Riverside Camp on the Serrano River. A full day focused on wildlife observation, primarily pumas, condors, and guanacos. Starting at $2795 USD per person.

Tips:

1.Train for long hikes, ideally with a backpack, to improve endurance.

2.Travel with the appropriate gear; Patagonian weather is very variable, so it’s better to be prepared. Check the essential gear list here

3. Important! Wear trekking boots, ideally ones you have used before, to avoid difficulties during the hike.

4. Book in advance, ideally 6 months ahead, as it’s a very famous and visited destination worldwide. Consider travel times for transfers. To reach Torres del        Paine, you first need to arrive in Chile, flying into Santiago, and then travel to the nearest city to the National Park, Puerto Natales.

Amazing trip! We joined the Torres Del Paine 7 day O trek tour - note that this tour is not a complete O Trek but skipping the part from Camp Frances to Las Torres, which worked in our favour as our holiday is limited and we won’t miss much. Our guide, Debbie was knowledgeable and amicable, and very passionate about hiking. Unfortunately I fell sick during the hike and wished to leave a day earlier than planned. Debbie and Chile Nativo quickly rearranged transportation for us and was very helpful. Throughout the whole process Chile Nativo was very responsive. We had a memorable journey and I would highly recommend Chile Nativo.

Fantastic experience! We were booked with Chile Nativo via Swoop and had a wonderful experience. Our guides, Tim & Lucile, were awesome. We really enjoyed their company. They were very knowledgeable about the region (the history, animals, landscape, etc). Highly recommend.

I booked the independent, self-guided Torres Del Paine trek with Chile Nativo’s help and was so glad I did. When I looked to book on my own, everything was all reserved in Torres Del Paine and Chile Nativo was the only agency that could help me find a spot still. To still be able to go on the trip when I wanted to go, to not have to spend so much time planning all the logistics, to get a local’s recommendations on the best way to do the trek…but STILL get to do the trek on my own was amazing and worth every penny. In particular Paolina at the agency was incredibly helpful. I would recommend this agency to anyone looking to hike in Torres del Paine.

Hiking in Torres with Pepa is like walking with your smartest and wisest friend. She has an incredible depth of knowledge in everything from mycology to government, from geology to history. She is fiercely passionate about conservation and our planet and has dedicated her life to making our world a better place. Our two porters Filipe and Bastian were both incredibly strong and highly professional. Always in the know on where to set up the tent, they picked the best spot in every site we were at. Also, they were an absolute blast to hang out with after the long days hiking. I cannot recommend this particular team highly enough and if you are passionate about the environment, making the world a better place, learning everything there is to know about glaciers, mushrooms, Patagonia, the history of Chile, magma intrusions and edible berries request them by name. Thank you to all three of you for making our experience so special and I hope our paths cross again.

Our Torres Del Paine Plus trip was fantastic! A great crew of newly-made friends, guided by Izabella “La Professora”, on a journey beyond expectations. What a great time, a balance of hiking and touring. DO NOT miss the pumas!!! I will definitely go with the Chile Nativo team again, and thanks to Nestor & Juan too!
